Filiah

Many a time, it proves to be the little everyday situations from childhood that years later turn out to be valuable memories and set our pathway ahead in life. Raised by a music-loving single mum, Nina Schwarzott aka Filiah's car journeys to school left their mark. The two of them would sing classics by Fleetwood Mac or Diana Krall, the Buena Vista Social Club or David Bowie out loud and something would stick. The fact that she quickly began writing her first songs of great intimacy in her youth, released her debut album ‘For Someone’ (2022) entirely unassisted and was her own manager underlines Filiah’s qualities right from the start. She then went on to develop as an artist despite suffering mental setbacks and writer's block, found herself at a songwriting retreat on the Croatian coast and hit on a creative liberation with the single “Atlas”. Lyrical vocals, electrifying melodies in every chorus, warm instrumentation - it's a sound full of emotion and soul that Filiah has developed and perfected on her new single ‘On & On’ (2025). After signing up with the Viennese indie institution Ink Music, she's now in the thick of working on a second album and will be performing material from it live with us in Hamburg.
