Gallus
Gallus find their sources of inspiration for a sound that combines political protest with positive power in the hopelessness of an entire generation and in the pulsating punk underground of the UK. Their debut album, ‘We Don’t Like The People We Become’ (2023), is not only about ever-increasing generational conflicts, but also about the depiction of various trigger points of youth, the bittersweet and polarising growing up in a time that gives little reason for hope. Originating as a boozy idea in a pub in Glasgow, the quartet can play all the aces of this entirely British origin story to the full and combine the sheer verve of Sports Team with the sharp-witted humour of Yard Act and the existential disillusionment of Fontaines D.C. There is thus no doubt that they will soon be able to gain a foothold in Germany with this mixture. And now, you can see them before the hype begins.
