Jon Tye DJ Set

As the founder of Lo Recordings, Jon Tye has been responsible for some of the most innovative names in electronic music since the mid-nineties. From Red Snapper and Richard Thomas to Black Devil Disco Club and Susumu Yokota to Fischerspooner and early works by Grimes – the busy Brit can be found everywhere where the leftfield develops and establishes new forms of sound. His own projects have also been insider tips for crate diggers of various subgenres for three decades now, for example, when he creates cryptic IDM as Twisted Science or summery chillwave as one-half of Seahawks. As a forward-thinking producer, his own DJ sets are correspondingly eclectic and unpredictable, daring and non-conformist by every trick in the book. With a repertoire of high-quality releases, fans of electronic music can look forward to his well-curated set, which he will be presenting in Hamburg in September. Be sure not to oversleep.
