Her debut EP, *Ich komm schon klar*, is released in 2024 and is initially noticed only by connoisseurs of the German-language indie underground. But then the spark catches on, not least because songs like "Notfallkontakt" and "Egal" tackle themes of loss and despair, powerlessness and empowerment with unbridled verve. Amidst pounding beats and sleek, effective synth lines, it is above all Liska’s sonorous voice that allows her to master both delicately whispered lines and powerful vocal outbursts. This lends her songs an immediate recognisability, whilst also conveying that certain urgency that accompanies us through all situations of failure or loss. Liska’s music also bears deeply autobiographical traits. That this style works brilliantly in collaboration with others is demonstrated by this year’s HE/RO feature “Kalte Haut”, with which the young singer is opening up a new field of creative possibilities. Furthermore, the new single “effy stonem” (2026) demonstrates that Liska is undergoing an impressive development as an artist, one we can watch with great interest. One of the next stops on her journey: St. Pauli, Hamburg.
