Man/Woman/Chainsaw
Man/Woman/Chainsaw dance on the fine line between noise and beauty - and have made themselves at home right there. Founded by two school friends who started making music together at the age of 14, the band is now an integral part of London's art rock scene - young, wild and hard to pin down.
Their sound is reminiscent of the chaotic spirit of Black Midi or Black Country, New Road: experimental, raw, sometimes tender, sometimes unpredictable. The five-piece band has a penchant for contrasts - gentle piano meets screeching guitars, sensitive strings meet furious drums. Their songs are not smooth pop anthems, but small works of art in a state of emergency. Sometimes spherical, sometimes crashing - but always intense.
