Panda Lux
Long ago, in a Swiss school playground, four friends got together and formed a band. The goal: to conquer the stages of Europe. Their first concerts on Lake Constance were an immediate triumph, even without a singer. The band, until then known as the Lakeside Runners, changed their name to Panda Lux, released their debut album “Versailles” (2018) and overnight established themselves as one of the most interesting combos in the German-speaking world. Songs like ‘Bar Franca’ and “Staub”, both on the follow-up album “Fun Fun Fun” (2020), showcase the band’s idiosyncratic flair for harmonies, unusual instrumentation and nuanced lyrics. These four accomplished multi-instrumentalists are no longer bound by style: they reject the ‘indie’ label. It doesn’t do them justice either. Progressive pop and songwriter folk, classical anthems and cinematic atmospheres, new wave and nostalgic post-punk blend Panda Lux into an idiosyncratic melange, a style that is uniquely theirs. With the new singles “Niemand” and “Wolke7” (2025) in their kitbag, they will prove this on stage with us in September.
