Pridian

The songs of Pridian unfold before your mind's eye like a sci-fi epic that's still to be shot. The quartet from Estonia plays an energetic and atmospheric interpretation of modern metalcore that combines complex structures with a cinematic atmosphere. With “The Rotten Unknown” (2021), they already took this style to a formidable level, evoking memories of Meshuggah, the Djent of the 2010s or even Deftones-inspired post-hardcore in terms of technique and songwriting - back then under the name ÆØNS. Now, four years later, they're back under the new moniker of Pridian and with fresh material. ‘Venetian Dark’ (2025) shows a band that has grown enormously both conceptually and musically, which is probably why they took every step of the process into their own hands, from writing to production. Influences ranging from EDM to infectious nu-metal hooks now also flow into the song material, which is as dynamic as it is powerful, as futuristic as it is virtuoso, evoking extraterrestrial mind movies in a class of their own.
