Source Of Rage

Basking in the enjoyment of the chaos as it unfolds, Source Of Rage create a titanic sound that blends melodic death metal with an unerring sense for danceable grooves and brutal guitar walls. This year, the band celebrate their tenth anniversary and can look back on a wild ride that has shaped them into what they are today. Since the release of their debut album, ‘Realise The Scope’ (2017), at the latest, the quartet from Lower Saxony have been on the radar of all metalheads between the North Sea and the Alps and have since been considered a sure bet for top-notch riffs. They also demonstrated this live at the 2019 Wacken Open Air Metal Battle, where they surpassed all their competitors and took first place. It is precisely the combination of heaviness and melody that gives Source Of Rage a resounding sound design that is explicitly made for neck-breaking headbanging and wildly swinging dance legs. ‘Witness The Mess’ (2022) continues this path and underlines the virtuoso development of a band that deliberately want to stand out from the oversupply of good metal formations – and they succeed in doing so. As a preview of their upcoming third album, they will also be setting the stage on fire in Hamburg with new song material.
