In his quest for cathartic moments with his audience, Vienna Vienna breaks free from social and cultural structures, crafting music that embodies both authentic vulnerability and unwavering self-realisation. Having grown up in Fresno, California, the lively singer–songwriter found a safe space early on in his church community, to which he devoted much of his personal time. There, people not only prayed, but also sang, celebrated, and laughed together, with a willingness to help being evident in every smile. It is these experiences of community and mutual support that he has sought to evoke for years in his songs and with his fans – both through headphones and on stage. Whether the positive energy in the power pop of “Vienna (Everything’s Fine)” gives you goosebumps or the politically provocative glimmer-rock of “God Save The Queens” (2025) gives pause for thought – Vienna Vienna fearlessly and passionately pursues his own artistic vision, blending anthemic indie, post-punk revival, pop appeal, and new wave with a queer quirkiness. Now, with “Entertain Me” (2026), he has released his second EP, which he will be bringing along for his Reeperbahn debut together with a glimmer of hope in these bleak times.
