Workshop - We Lost the Data! - präsentiert von Selbstvermarkter*innen im VUT
What Happens in the Studio, Stays in the Studio
A song leaves the studio. The hook is great, everyone is excited, high5’ing and somebody says: “We’ll sort out the credits and splits later.” Six months later, the publishers, labels and everybody involved is conducting a forensic investigation in WhatsApp, email and messages. Sound familiar?
AI is supposed to make the industry smarter, faster and more efficient. But it has one awkward limitation: it wasn’t in the room. It doesn’t know who changed the chorus, what everyone agreed or which information disappeared. If human decisions never become usable data, AI doesn’t remove the chaos. It automates it.
Drawing on two decades in writing rooms and the development of Sessio, Mattis Jacobsen explores how the industry can keep the human story connected to the music - and decide which jobs AI should prepare and which decisions must always remain human.
