Johanna Ruppert, Kiveli Dörken & Stanislas Kim

Music / Classical / Germany

Presented by: Tonali

When Johanna Ruppert puts her bow to the strings, a hush falls all around her. Everyone listens intently to the upcoming violinist's clear, defined playing, which has taken her to the heights of some of Europe's biggest competitions. Ruppert's talent is more apparent than ever, but it was recognized and encouraged from the age of six. Having grown into one of the most important violinists of her generation, she studies under Professor Priya Mitchell at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, and is the initiator and director of the festival "Klassik nah dran" in Zweibrücken, her birthplace in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Kiveli Dörken was born in 1995 in Duesseldorf, Germany. At the age of eight, she was the youngest candidate ever to pass the entrance exam for the early studies program for gifted children at the Hochschule für Musik Hannover with her teachers Prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling und Prof. Lars Vogt. The critics describe her music as a kaleidoscope of feelings and tonal diversities.

Stanislas Kim is laureate of the International Brahms Competition in Austria and of the International Hindemith Competition in Berlin. He is currently pursuing his studies with Leonid Gorokhov in Hannover. He received in 2011 the Maggini Foundation Award and a special prize for his interpretation of Bach's Cello Suites.
