Scarlet Pleasure

Music / Pop, R'n'B/Soul / Denmark

Scarlet Pleasure have been the talk of the town ever since their international breakthrough with the song “What A Life”, which is heard in the final scene of Thomas Vinterberg’s Oscar-winning masterpiece “Another Round”. Sure, the Copenhagen trio had a couple of successes before that in their home country, for example with their debut album “Youth Is Wasted On The Young” (2016) or the early EPs like “Mirage” (2014) or “Limbo” (2017). But especially on their latest album “Garden”, released two years ago, the Danish trio showed that their combination of pop, soul and R’n’B with catchy hooks isn’t just a timeless formula for success – it’s also top material for lively festive occasions, as brilliantly shown in Vinterberg’s film. Anyone wanting to lose themselves in the here and now will find in this band’s sound a reason to celebrate life for what it is: the probably one-time chance to experience and share joy in all its wonderful forms and colours.
