Reeperbahn Festival International Johannesburg – Program and infos

+++ Update 26.11.2021 13:06 – Cancellation of the Reeperbahn Festival International presentation in Johannesburg +++

Due to the B.1.1.529 Covid variant currently circulating in South Africa, we have decided (in close consultation with our partner Music in Africa Foundation) to cancel the Reeperbahn Festival International presentation on 26 and 27 November 2021, which would have taken place for ACCES on location in Johannesburg. The health of all those participating in attendance is our first priority.
The announced matchmaking will instead be hosted on the digital Reeperbahn Festival conference platform as soon as possible. Further information will be available here over the following days.

Off we go! This week (from 25–27 November 2021 ) our Reeperbahn Festival International team will start it’s travel to Johannesburg, where we will be part of ACCES, the leading African-music trade event. You are invited to follow the performances of the highly regarded African artists Sampa the Great (Zambia) and Yugen Blakrok (South Africa) via live stream on the website of the Music In Africa Foundation.
We are also very happy to host two panels with African and European speakers as part of the online streamed ACCES panel program (a.o. Colin Schrinner, Head of Tunecore Germany;  Mpumi Philips,  Director of Distribution – The Orchard; Yuvir Pillay, Music Operations Manager Africa – TikTok; Laurent Bizot – Founder No Format!).
