Thanks for a splendid Reeperbahn Festival 2019!
After four exciting days and an overwhelming amount of intense impressions the 14th edition of Reeperbahn Festival is over - a huge THANK YOU to all festival and conference visitors. This year, the ANCHOR goes to alyona alyona: Congratulations! We had over 50,000 visitors in four days, including 5,900 industry visitors from 52 nations! Sit back and relive the festival feeling with our highlights in form of pictures and video!
With DOORS OPEN on Wednesday evening, for the first time this year we officially launched the Reeperbahn Festival. We are still full of gratitude and joy thinking of all the shiny faces and of the packed location – you're really the best! Here you can have a close peek at the full spectacle as well as at the performances of Dope Lemon and Leslie Feist.
The world premieres of Ólafur Arnalds, Efterklang, Matthew Herbert and Anna Ternheim, specially developed for the Reeperbahn Festival, sent shivers down the spine of visitors at the Elbphilharmonie and Hamburg Planetarium.
Another highlight: the presentation of the Keychange 2.0 programme for more gender justice in the music industry. During the press conference, Pitchfork editor-in-chief Puja Patel, musicians Kate Nash, Peaches and Reeperbahn Festival director Alexander Schulz announced the new goals and measures of the international music gender balance initiative.
The Reeperbahn Festival 2020 will take place from 16-19 September with Denmark as partner country! Early bird tickets for the festival and conference are now available. And best of all: The first act for the upcoming line-up has already been confirmed. Tash Sultana is coming to the Reeperbahn Festival 2020!
