The line-up continues to grow

This week we’ve added: Mac DeMarco, Joris, Josef Salvat, Cosmo Sheldrake, Girlpool, and many others!

Just 25 years old and this likeable young man is already pretty on the ball. Mac DeMarco has explored the whole of Canada and now his career is picking up speed in other parts of the world. “Jizz jazz” is the name he’s given his music style and he’s having tons of fun with it.

Joris is a storyteller and music is his conduit. The singer-songwriter recently released his first album “Hoffnungslos hoffnungsvoll” (Hopeless Hopeful) on Four Music and his first club tour has already sold out.

Australian Josef Salvat attracted heaps of attention with his cover version of Rihanna’s “Diamonds” – it was used for a well-known advert. But there’s a whole lot more to this highly talented singer and composer.

One of Londoner Cosmo Sheldrake’s specialities is to record ordinary and extraordinary sounds and then find a place for them in his songs. We’ll see what sorts of sounds he stumbles across on Hamburg’s Reeperbahn – and whether they turn up in his music.

Girlpool does quirky folk-pop with angry lyrics about jealousy, sexism, and the bitter side of love. Not ones to mince words the two singers are like a musically softer version of riot grrrl.

Also part of the Reeperbahn Festival line-up: Freddie Dickson & The Guard, Happyness, Black Lizard, Someday Jacob, Kat VinterNoah Kin, Nothing But Thieves, Tim Vantol, FOR BDK, lilly among clouds
