Amy Zayed
Born in Paderborn, she studied English, Romance languages and philosophy at Bielefeld University after graduating from high school. She took her first steps in journalism at the age of 14 at the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS), where she remained until 2008, among other things as music editor and events editor for BFBS Germany. She founded the campus radio music network NRW, later Germany, and then worked as a freelancer for 1Live and as a trainee at WDR.
She is currently a freelance journalist for pretty much all ARD culture and music stations (WDR2, 1Live, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, Deutschlandfunk Nova, Deutschlandfunk, BR Zündfunk, BR Puls, WDR5 Scala), as well as BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service and BBC Radio 6Music. Since September 2020, she has been hosting the official John Sinclair podcast for Bastei Luebbe, for which I am also editorially responsible.
