
Andrew Melchior
Andrew Melchior is a British-German creative technologist, producer, and artist working at the intersection of music, immersive media, and emerging technologies. He is known for pioneering collaborations with David Bowie, Björk, and Massive Attack, shaping new modes of artistic expression through digital innovation.
At EMI in the late 1990s, he helped develop BowieNet and brokered the first mobile music deal between a major artist and Nokia. Since 2014, he has been Technical Advisor to Björk, producing acclaimed VR works such as Stonemilker and Vulnicura VR. As Creative Director/CTO for Massive Attack, he created the Fantom app and projects encoding music into DNA and AI-driven remix tools.
Through his studio Third Space, Melchior develops cultural projects exploring media, narrative, and sound. His current work, The Logos, sonifies Fast Radio Bursts with MIT physicist Kiyoshi Masui and philosopher Timothy Morton. He is based in Kraków, Poland.
