Annabella Coldrick
Annabella Coldrick joined the UK’s Music Managers Forum in January 2016. MMF is a professional community of music managers with over 1400 members from early-stage managers to those representing global superstars from Coldplay to Adele. The MMF campaigns for a fairer, more transparent music industry which operates in the interest of artists and their fans.
The MMF UK has published the respected Dissecting the Digital Dollar series of 7 reports calling for greater transparency in the music industry to ensure artists are fairly paid in the digital age which has informed the recent UK Parliament enquiry into the Economics of Streaming and influenced the future direction of Government enquiry which resulted in the labels issuing a new code of practice. Last year they published the Managers Guide to AI on how the managers can help safeguard their artist music and image rights to ensure consent, control and compensation.
Most recently the MMF has written groundbreaking reports into the changing business models in Music Management in the Managing Expectations series including a new Management Deals Guide and a deep-dive report in December into Writer & Producer Managers. They also publish a text book on Music Management called the Essentials of Music Management.
The MMF is an initiator of the FanFair Alliance campaign which successfully called for restriction of ticket touting (scalping) in the UK so that real fans can see their favourite artists. Annabella is also a founder member of EMMA, the European Music Managers Alliance alongside 8 other MMFs across Europe.
