Aysha Hussain
Based between London and Berlin, Aysha has an intrinsic interest in the intersections of arts, culture and society. Having worked in the cultural sector for over 20 years, Aysha developed extensive experience from both UK and European contexts. With a particular focus on the film and music industries, Aysha also holds a Master’s in Contemporary Literature.
In her current role at Keychange (EU) as Research Manager, Aysha works on developing reporting systems for global pledge signatories in the music sector (consisting of festivals, conferences, and other music industry companies and organisations) in tracking their gender equity goals, intersectional considerations, and impact of the pledge. Additional project management includes overseeing the commissioning of the International Perspectives series, and managing the Network & Knowledge Sharing segment of the Keychange Leaders project.
From her personal and professional experience, Aysha also consults on DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility). Her varying practice of DEIA involves the implementation of inclusive values in developing HR systems in her ongoing role at Film London (UK) as HR Executive. Here, Aysha develops inclusive recruitment and training strategies, outreach and research, whilst ensuring internal management of staff upholds inclusion values. Aysha has also consulted on the development of Keychange’s Talent Leadership Programme with a focus on embedding inclusive leadership goals. Working collaboratively to strategise and plan has been crucial in working towards DEIA goals from a practical organisational level to education, and how this fits with a wider, national, political and cultural level. Aysha continues to consult on project/company development in the DEIA realm independently.
