BALBINA

Balbina, who was born in Warsaw and is now based in Berlin, became known primarily for her orchestral pop-art sound. The singer-songwriter and producer was awarded the prestigious German Music Author Award in 2018 for her remarkable lyrical writing, which has earned her songs a unique position in the German music scene. As a lyricist, she also writes for artists such as Herbert Grönemeyer. Balbina has released four albums and two EPs to date and usually performs her concerts accompanied by the German Film Orchestra Babelsberg. The musician represents the BKM-funded Academy for Popular Music (AfPM) and serves as Creative Director, shaping the content of the associated forum POLYTON.
