Georg Haas
Georg Haas advises clubs and decision-makers in professional football on strategic direction, business development, and the interplay between finance and sporting performance. Born in the Saarland region of Germany, Haas studied Business Administration and Economics in Bonn and Barcelona on a scholarship. Throughout his career, he has taken on a variety of roles: building new markets for a startup, founding his own company, advising the executive boards of international corporations, and leading several business units in the energy sector.
Today, he brings this experience to professional football. His work focuses in particular on the decisions behind transfers, contracts, investments, and competition formats, as well as the strategies pursued by clubs and governing bodies. His approach is data-driven and analytical: influenced by the early Moneyball philosophy, he looks for the patterns and underlying connections behind sporting and economic success.
Haas has been a core member of the Miasanrot team for several years. There, he writes and hosts podcasts about transfers, strategy, finance, and sporting analysis relating to FC Bayern, as well as investors, competition structures, and the commercial development of other clubs and governing bodies.
On September 24, 2026, his book "Pro moderner Fußball – aber ohne Bullshit" (translated: "Pro Modern Football – But Without the Bullshit", co-authored with Bastian Roth, will be published by Die Werkstatt. It is a passionate case for modern football, accompanied by concrete ideas for making professional football better.
