Hakan Halaç

Hakan Halaç works as a musician under the alias HAXAN and is also a producer and singer. Born in 1994 to Turkish parents in Berlin, he enjoyed a diverse musical education ranging from MTV metal and Berlin underground rap to US hip-hop. He first appeared on stage as a bassist and singer in school bands and won the “Berlin's New Talents” band contest in 2011. In 2013, he and others formed the band KORA WINTER, and their album “BITTER” (2019) breathed new life into the German metal scene. At the same time, he launched his solo career as HAXAN - with a mixture of punk, metal and experimental hip-hop. With the EP “RAW” (2019) and “WAR” (2020), he quickly won plaudits as an exceptional talent. Media such as JUICE and HipHop.de consider him one of the most exciting acts on the scene. On ‘GARGOYLE’ (2021), he finally established his unmistakable sound in German rap.
