Johannes Cordes

Born and raised in Hamburg. In 1996, completed an internship at Sony Music in Frankfurt. Earned a Master of Business Administration. Began his career in 1997 at Sony Music Media, eventually rising to the position of General Manager at Universal Music – Polydor Island. Since 2014, has worked as an independent manager and consultant in the areas of strategy, marketing, concept development, and A&R for Warner Music Germany, as well as big data for consumer insights and analytics at Symanto Research. Founder of the music-tech startup “IPY World,” which organizes, structures, manages, secures, and monetizes music rights.
