Julia Sasse (music manager, music promoter, strategic process facilitator for music TV and music streaming formats)

Julia Sasse (née Wartmann) has been managing director of local heroes, Europe’s largest non-profit network for emerging artists, based in Salzwedel, since 2016. She has since gained behind-the-scenes insight into hundreds of associations, clubs, large venues and open-air stages, and understands the needs, wishes and hopes of thousands of musicians. She is the mastermind and initiator of the ‘Office for Unsolvable Tasks’, the Virtual Music Lab – a virtual rehearsal room – and the multi-award-winning music photography exhibition GRENZSAITEN.

Holding degrees in Musicology and Music Management, Julia Sasse is a recognized expert in music funding and artist development.

As a Fellow* of the Federal Government’s Centre of Excellence for the Cultural and Creative Industries, Julia Sasse is committed to providing relevant impetus for the development of the cultural and creative industries in Germany and to identifying key issues at the interfaces between sectors.
