
Lena Ingwersen
Lena Ingwersen is Managing Director of the Music Cities Network (MCN), a global non-profit uniting music cities, policymakers, artists, and industry leaders to strengthen music ecosystems through global collaboration and local empowerment. A Cultural Manager, DJ, Keychange Innovator (2020–22), and Music Leaders Network Fellow (2025), she has more than 15 years of experience in cultural policy, network strategy, inclusion advocacy, and entrepreneurial innovation.
Meanwhile, MCN has grown into an open, expanding alliance that supports cities in harnessing music’s cultural, social, and economic power to build resilient, inclusive, and future-ready communities. Lena is also the co-founder of Act Aware, promoting social awareness at music events, and HALLO/Schaltzentrale, a transdisciplinary festival exploring urban and spatial development. Performing as DJ Lej, she fuses artistic expression with activism, leading workshops for FLINTA* individuals and championing gender equity in the music industry. Based in Berlin and working internationally, Lena bridges artistic vision with strategic action to connect people, places, and ideas through music.
