Mark Chung

Mark Chung is a German-British musician, music publisher, and managing partner of Freibank Musik Publishing. His musical career began with the Band Abwärts in 1980 in Hamburg, from 1982 he was the bassist and manager of Einstürzende Neubauten. In 1984 he founded Freibank, originally to manage the groups copyrights — today it is an internationally active publishing company based in Hamburg and Berlin. After working for Sony Music as Senior Vice President in London, he returned to Germany in 2005. Mark has been committed to independent music companies for many years, including serving as Chairman of the Board of VUT for many years and as a long-standing member of the Supervisory Board of Initiative Musik.
