Núria Barniol is a Barcelona-based event sustainability professional with more than 15 years of experience in the live events industry. After beginning her career in the wider creative and cultural sector, she moved into live music, where she specialised in helping festivals and events integrate sustainability into their strategy, operations and day-to-day decision-making.

She spent seven years at Live Nation Spain, producing large-scale concerts and stadium shows while helping launch Green Nation Spain, integrating sustainability across concerts and festivals. Alongside her work in the live events sector, she is a Senior Sustainability Assessor at A Greener Future (AGF), assessing festivals and events against internationally recognised sustainability standards.

She later led the transformation of Festival Cruïlla’s sustainability, accessibility and social impact programmes, including the implementation of a large-scale reusable foodware system serving more than 70,000 attendees, while embedding sustainability across festival operations. She has collaborated with Primavera Sound on sustainability projects over several editions and most recently worked as Sustainability Manager within the festival’s sustainability team, contributing to environmental strategy, accessibility implementation and ESG initiatives. She has also advised cultural events and organisations on embedding sustainability into their planning and operations.

Her work focuses on making sustainability practical, helping events integrate environmental and social responsibility into everyday decision-making and operations.
