Oke Göttlich, 47, holds a degree in sports science and has been president of the German professional football club FC St. Pauli since 2014. He began his career as a sports and music journalist for numerous newspapers and magazines. As a managing editor at taz (die tageszeitung), he swapped the newsroom for the music business and, in the early 2000s, founded finetunes, one of Europe’s first digital service providers for music labels and artists. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the music industry, including managing and monetizing digital content for independent labels. After selling the company to Sony, Göttlich served as Managing Director Music at Zebralution, a digital all‑audio distributor majority‑owned by GEMA. He continues to support early‑stage start‑ups and champion cultural venues in Hamburg.
