Robin Baumann
Alte Liebe (Klubhaus St. Pauli)Robin Baumann is General Manager and Senior A&R at the independent label Arising Empire.
His career in the music industry began during his media informatics studies, with stints at Roadrunner Records (2011) and Sony Music Germany (2013). Alongside this, he was the strategic mind behind Stuttgart-based band VENUES from 2014 to 2026, giving him a perspective on the music business from both the label and the artist side.
During his master's programme in Computer Science and Media at Stuttgart Media University, Robin wrote his 2015 master's thesis at Nuclear Blast and was involved in the founding and early development of Arising Empire. He has been part of the label for over ten years and has played a key role in shaping its growth across a range of roles, among them A&R, product management and digital and social media strategy.
Today, as General Manager, Robin is responsible for the label's strategic development, while continuing to work directly with artists and their long-term growth as Senior A&R.
