Sarah Saem Bergmann (she|they) is the co founder of act aware e.V. and has been supporting festivals, artists, and cultural institutions for many years in developing and implementing awareness structures. Drawing on her background in booking and artist management, she understands the music industry from multiple perspectives and develops concepts that are practical, holistic, and sustainable.
In 2018, she initiated and led the implementation of the first awareness concepts at festivals such as Splash!, MELT, Full Force, and Lollapalooza. Since co founding act aware e.V. in 2020, she has advised festivals, clubs, and cultural institutions on developing and establishing their own awareness concepts.
As a New Work Coach, Sarah combines organizational development with discrimination sensitive approaches, helping teams create solutions that are both realistic and sustainable in everyday practice. Her work is always guided by the needs of those affected by discrimination and harassment, placing the creation of safer spaces at the center of every process.
Her current focus is Artist Awareness. Through the ACTS ACT - aware in concert training program, which she co developed, the act aware team supports artists, crews, and management teams with workshops and consulting to build more responsible touring and working environments. Together, the team has worked with artists including Roy Bianco & Die Abbrunzati Boys, MilleniumKid, Bushida, Zeck, Future Palace, and many more.
Sarah's goal is to move awareness beyond the deployment of awareness teams at individual events and instead embed it proactively into crews, productions, and touring structures. She believes that open exchange, mutual support, and shared learning are key to creating lasting change across the music industry.
