
Simon Knop Jacobsen
Simon Knop Jacobsen is a cultural manager and Festival Sector Coordinator & Policy Advisor at ImPuls Brandenburg e.V., the state association for socioculture, popular music and festivals. Since 2021, he has worked at the intersection of culture, politics, public administration and civil society, with a particular focus on the festival sector.
He advises and connects festival organizers and advocates for better political and social framework conditions for cultural events. His work focuses on improving the conditions for festivals in Brandenburg, including addressing far-right extremism, threats to cultural spaces, and questions of safety and resilience. He is also the initiator of #KulturSichern, a statewide network and exchange platform dedicated to strengthening safe and resilient cultural work.
