Simon Vogt

Simon Vogt has American and German roots and grew up with influences from both sides during the Golden Era of Hip Hop.
Since 2013, he has worked first as an event editor and later as a planning editor at Hessischer Rundfunk (Broadcasting Corporation for the federal land Hessen) until 2019, when he became the host of Deutschrap Ideal, now ARD's largest format for hip hop culture.
Every week, he interviews stars from the German rap scene, which is now broadcast on radio alone in six federal states and reaches more than eight million people across all platforms.
In addition, he has been a presenter on hr television since 2021, moderates various events both within and outside of ARD, and has hosted the ARTE YouTube live talk "Arte Saloon" since its launch in 2022.
