Simon Vogt

Simon Vogt has American and German roots and grew up with influences from both sides of the Atlantic during the ‘Golden Era of Hip-Hop’. Since 2013, he has worked as an event editor – and later, as a planning editor – at Hessischer Rundfunk. In 2019, he became the host of ‘Deutschrap ideal’, which is now the largest programme for hip-hop culture on ARD. Every week, he interviews stars from the German rap scene, with the programme now being broadcast on the radio in six federal states alone and reaching more than eight million people across all platforms. In addition, he has also been a presenter on hr- fernsehen (hr television) since 2021, hosts various events both inside and outside ARD, and has been hosting the ARTE live talk show ‘Arte Saloon’ on YouTube since the beginning of 2022.
