Stefanie Kim
Steffi Kim is a German music executive and Director of Strategy & Communication with South Korean roots and over 25 years of experience in the music and media industries. The core of her work lies at the intersection of pop culture, purpose, and politics. As the first Asian executive in a European major label, she served on the GSA management board and led Corporate Communications & DEI — the first role of its kind in the European music industry.
She advises artists, brands, labels, and institutions on narrative positioning, public trust, and reputational leadership. Through her agency KIMKOM, founded in 2001, she has worked with Google, YouTube, Rock am Ring, and various federal ministries and embassies. Due to her international reputation, major labels, Grammy-nominated artists, and Academy Award winners seek her consultation on strategic management and executive positioning.
She is the Co-host of NDR’s „arm & trotzdem“ podcast (Top 15 on Spotify), a regular contributor to MUSIKWOCHE, and a respected voice in national media — including STERN, ARD, and Business Insider — on topics ranging from pop culture and diversity to K-pop.
She also serves as an Ambassador for GermanDream, an education initiative promoting democratic values and sits on the advisory board of FUTUR EINS, a Think & Do Tank focused on strengthening the democratic public sphere.
