Theresa Henze
Theresa Henze is an international music marketing expert and one of the voices shaping the future of heavy music. With a decade of experience across major and independent labels, she combines hands-on campaign expertise with a data-driven understanding of how audiences discover, engage with and ultimately commit to artists.
She began her career in the music industry at Universal Music before moving into the independent heavy music space. In 2020, she joined Sony Music Entertainment, where she worked in market and consumer research, translating data and cultural insights into strategies for audience growth, streaming performance and long-term artist development.
Since 2023, Theresa has been Senior Project Manager International Marketing at Century Media Records & InsideOutMusic, where she leads global campaigns for internationally established artists including Lorna Shore, Lamb Of God, Of Mice & Men and Arch Enemy, while also developing launch strategies and positioning for emerging acts such as Allt and Humanity’s Last Breath.
Her perspective bridges two worlds that are increasingly inseparable: the cultural instinct of heavy music and the data, platforms and market dynamics shaping how music travels today. Beyond her label career, Theresa has also co-founded an award-winning social-age technology venture, bringing an entrepreneurial perspective to her work. She holds master’s degrees in economics and international management & management and is a singer in an indie pop choir.
A sought-after speaker at international music conferences, Theresa regularly shares insights on heavy music, artist development, audience behaviour and the changing relationship between culture, technology and the music business. In September 2026, she returns to Reeperbahn Festival as a speaker.
