Having been active in his own band, 3A, as early as during his teenage years, Aaron Lovac declared making music his passion at a young age and has pursued it relentlessly ever since. His band eventually faded into the past, but Lovac’s artistic ambitions did not. So, following his move to Berlin, the DIY musician born in the Lower Rhine region became known in the German pop scene as Drumla, producing tracks for Zartmann and Lina Larissa-Strahl and establishing a fresh, honest, inimitable sound. He is known for his eclecticism, in which feel-good pop and introspective indie thrive just as much as pulsating trap or house. The move towards his own solo career was therefore only a matter of time, and the answer came sooner than expected. And that’s a good thing. When he went public in 2022 with singles such as “Elendig” and “Danke”, the response was enormous: Airplay on all the relevant radio stations across the country, six-figure streaming numbers, and Aaron in seventh heaven. It could hardly have gone better. This was followed by two EPs, “nimmdichnichtsoernst” (2023) and “dudenkstsoschön” (2023), with which the singer–songwriter and self-taught artist successfully tried his hand at modern soundtracks for lovers and – against all odds – evoked the lightness of life. Then, last year came his acclaimed debut album, “versprochen, ichbindafürdich” (2025). This year, he will have his first gig here in Hamburg. Things are going well for him.
