Alenna Rose grinds up outdated observations as if they’re chocolate sprinkles over vanilla ice cream. No fan of patriarchal expectations, nor of the middle-class staleness that accompanies them, her take is more about statements that hold up a mirror to the status quo in the country - plainspoken, unvarnished and unapologetic. With tracks like “Ice Cream” and “Paris Syndrom” (2024), she already defined the style that characterises her sound, somewhere between synthpop, a shot of the latest New German Wave and thumping techno BPMs. An ecstatic night in the neon light, the exhausted return home with the accompanying comedown, the bittersweet memories the day after: Alenna Rose combines the joy of partying with lyrics about timely topics and, instead of smart-aleck answers, gives us a slice of her own life. Her artistic journey has already taken her from her hometown of Neukrug to the Hurricane Festival this year, where she and her band put on a much-acclaimed show that also had the press raving. With her new single “Panik (My Heads Is In The Clouds)” (2025), she’s coming to us for the first time in September, presenting her soundtrack for a life of dance that’s not allowed to end.
