With the energy of an ambitious newcomer, Bella has written songs in recent years that illuminate the attitude to life of an entire generation from different perspectives. The disorientation of the post-Covid era, the expectations of a meritocracy that is slowly but surely going crazy, and the trials and tribulations of growing up – the Viennese artist succeeds in creating personal snapshots in sound that many can identify with. The songs are often written at the piano, are intimate, and are initially only intended for Bella’s ears. ‘I make music for myself’, she once revealed in an interview. In her search for herself, Bella uses a mixture of electropop, soulful vocals, and personal lyrics to negotiate contrasting emotions such as melancholy and confidence, fragility and strength, fear and happiness. Her new single, ‘fehler’ – in which the singer addresses the topic of toxic relationships – also plays with the contradictory feelings that make us human. However, she will be bringing even more new material with her to her gig with us in Hamburg.
