Douwe Bob

Douwe “Bob” Posthuma was born and raised in Amsterdam. He received his first piano lessons at the age of six and began playing guitar and singing at fourteen. Douwe learned to play music from his father, Simon Posthuma, who was part of the artist group “The Fool” and composed for the Beatles, among others. His mother was a dancer. With performances at festivals such as Pinkpop, Zwarte Cross and Concert At Sea and a unique energy on stage, Douwe Bob remains one of the best-known and most popular artists on the Dutch music scene. His music continues to thrill his fans with genuine emotions, captivating melodies and a timeless sound.
