Part soul-baring confession, part hangover cure, Hetta Falzon crafted minimalist gems of chamber pop last year with singles such as “The Rabbit Hole” and “Sobering”, which get straight under your skin. Raised in Somerset and now living in Manchester, the up-and-coming artist won the title of “Young Songwriter of the Year” from the prestigious Song Academy in 2021 at the tender age of 16, and subsequently really took off. Barely a year later, she’s not only on stage at the Pilton Stage Competition, but also playing to an enthusiastic crowd at the Glastonbury Festival. By now, at the very latest, it’s clear: Hetta Falzon handles her voice and piano with such skill that she’ll soon be regarded as an exceptional talent and snapped up by some major label. But no such luck. Hetta Falzon focused on writing more songs and released her debut album “Henrietta” in March 2026 via the indie label Last Recordings On Earth – at around 40 minutes in length, it was more than just an EP or a ‘best of’ compilation of her work to date. It marks the start of a still-young career that is developing in a promising and organic way. So it’s only fitting that we’re bringing her onto our stage in September.
