Where German rap and electronic music collide, Josi Miller is never far away. As a producer, DJ, singer, and podcaster, the Berlin-based artist has her finger on the pulse of the next hype, successfully leaving her own mark on it. Mixtapes such as ‘At.Long.Last.Summer’ (2015) and ‘A L L S 2’ (2016) established her as a record wizard who can hold her own beyond her sought-after club sets between Leipzig and the capital of Berlin. Anyone who still hadn’t heard of her had the opportunity to experience her as a tour DJ for Frauenarzt and Trettmann, as a strong personality in various feminist campaigns, and as a solo artist with her own take on techno. And we haven’t even got started on her work as one-half of the Import Export project, which she runs together with Stefan Heinrich. No matter what Josi Miller touches, the artist is and remains a safe bet for first-class DJ artistry, which she will finally be presenting to us again in September.
