Just For Fun
Rarely has a band name been as self-explanatory as this: Since last year, Just For Fun have been churning out uncompromising party music that draws on French house, electro-pop, and old-school acid techno in equal measure. The results are raw and unvarnished, provocative and utterly danceable – in short, tailor-made for the contemporary festival scene stretching from London to Ljubljana. From the very first beat, tracks such as “Paris” (2025) and the lascivious Friday-night anthem “Boys” (2025) get straight into your blood and legs until the party atmosphere reaches its boiling point – and even then, it just keeps going. At times, it sounds a bit like a fling between Peaches and Soulwax, but with a contemporary DIY attitude. Somehow different, more modern, cheekier. Their new single, “Undressed” (2026), consistently adds the next piece to the mosaic of that dazzling, just-for-fun style, which we’re sure to be hearing a lot more of in the near future – at the latest at their concert in Hamburg. But don’t dress too warm: It’s going to be hot.
