Linda Elys
When in doubt, go with your gut feeling: as a singer-songwriter and also privately, Linda Elys trusts her instincts rather than mulling things over. And often enough, she gets it right. Like when she secretly signed up for “The Voice of Germany” in 2021 and promptly got accepted. She made it to the final, shared a stage with Britpop superstar James Blunt and performed for an audience in the millions. Despite not winning the show, the experience proved invaluable for her and shaped the young artist’s songwriting, which got increasingly professional from that point on. Her radio earworms, with the buzzing intensity of ‘House On Fire’ (2023) or ‘Hurry’ (2024), show an ever-growing fanbase just how self-assured she is when it comes to presenting her electronic folk-pop in new guises. Her debut EP ‘Maggie’ (2024) hit all the playlists last year and counts as one of the most important releases on the independent scene in her native Switzerland. Linda Elys is now where she’s always wanted to be since her childhood: in the early days of a promising career that keeps the way ahead wide open.
