Lost in Lona
Who hasn’t experienced those moments in life when the pressure becomes unbearable and nothing seems to make sense anymore? Because they themselves have been in these dark places, the music of Lidia Beck and Konstantin Aebli is a soothing balm for troubled souls seeking comfort and peace. The Basel-based duo combine introspective songwriter poetry with delicately melancholic indie folk and almost chamber orchestra–like arrangements. Their debut album, ‘Scared Like A Mother And Her Gun’ (2024), was written, recorded, and produced entirely by the two of them, which gives their project Lost In Lona an additional personal, even biographical touch. Bittersweet melodies in minor keys accompany the lyrics, and an uncompromising authenticity pervades the autumnal atmosphere that this project knows how to conjure up time and again. This is also achieved with the new songs ‘Mathilda’ and ‘The Wrong Cards’, which they will be bringing with them.
