Master Peace
Having grown up facing all the challenges that children from migrant backgrounds have to deal with on a daily basis, Peace Okezie – also known as Master Peace – learnt lessons in humility from an early age. The London-born rapper is a shining example of what can be achieved through perseverance and belief in oneself, and this is reflected in every one of his songs. Ever since he first caused a stir on the British underground scene with his debut EP, “Love Bites” (2020), this self-assured yet humble musician has established himself as a voice for Gen Z, delivering passionate pleas for tolerance and humanity through songs such as “I Might Be Fake” (2023) and “Home” (2024). “I celebrate my mistakes and want the kids out there to understand it’s okay to fail, to learn from it, and to grow”, Peace said recently in an interview. On his debut album, “How To Make A Master Peace” (2024), he wraps this message in a rousing mix of styles ranging from indietronica and garage rock to pop and dance-punk – which has wowed critics across the board from NME to the BBC and DIY. Sold-out venues have since spoken volumes: Master Peace is an artist of exceptional calibre who offers much-needed reassurance in these crazy times. And he’ll be bringing his new album, “If I Don’t Love You, Who Will?” (2026), with him to his first gig here in Hamburg.
