Ronis Goliath
Ronis Goliath has been doing true transcultural exchange work, and not just since his viral song ‘Foo7’. Born in Cameroon and living in Berlin, the multi-talented artist has been creating tracks for a few years now that not only scale the streaming charts in dozens of countries, but also connect and amaze – due to their charming blending of different musical styles, but also mainly because of their extraordinary emotionality. Whether in English, French or his mother tongue, this almost two-metre-tall giant speaks to hearts around the globe with music that can be both driving and melancholic or thoughtful at the same time. And on singles like ‘Ancestors’ (2025) he also knows how achieve a certain grace in his work. That aside, he playfully combines Afrobeat and pop sensibilities with R'n'B and dancehall and brings this mix to the stage thanks to his impressive live presence. His journey as an artist would probably have taken a very different route without a broken guitar that he found. So it's a real blessing that chance or fate, whichever one, has finally brought him to us in Hamburg in September.
