VINTER
From meaningful personal experiences to what’s going on in our society, as well as the apparent trivialities of everyday life: Nicola Kilimann finds her inspiration as a singer-songwriter in places where others see just surfaces. As Vinter, she leaves the conventions of the present behind, creating her own cosmos of the soul packed with complex emotions and perspectives in her songs. Not that her poetic indie pop is escapist, rather an unflinchingly animistic view of the world, sometimes taking the form of melancholic atmospheric images, sometimes cinematic soundscapes. From the nostalgic folk-pop of her debut release “Seasons” (2021) to the electronically amped tunes of the EP “Change The Weather” (2025) and the recent vintage impressionism of “Romance Is Dead” (2025), Vinter’s artistic development has been impressive. Shunning the fast-moving commercialisation mechanics of the major labels, this woman is chasing her very own vision of authentic, emotional sound composition and will be bringing it to our stage for the first time in September.
