Inklusion ist Kulturpolitik
Warum Teilhabe nicht vom guten Willen abhängen darf
Between cultural participation, funding policies, and structural barriers, a panel of experts from cultural policy, the industry, and self-advocacy groups discusses why inclusion in the cultural sector is implemented so differently internationally and what Germany can learn from other countries. The starting point is research by the "Barrierefrei Feiern" (Celebrate Inclusively) initiative, which shows that inclusion works better where accessibility is an integral part of cultural funding and political logic. The panel will talk about proven and missing funding structures in Germany, European best-practice models, pop culture as a social space, and ultimately, how the participation of people with disabilities on, in front of, and behind the stage can succeed in Germany.
The panel will be translated into German Sign Language.
