ochen Leuf is a cultural manager, musician and co-founder of the non-profit cultural organisation Kulturkarawane in Trier. Since 2014, he has been developing cultural projects with his team that create opportunities for encounter and open up new access to culture.

His work is rooted in the belief that culture is a human right. He therefore sees concerts, festivals and other cultural spaces not simply as offers, but as invitations. A key question for him is how culture can be designed in a way that enables as many people as possible to participate.

A particular focus of his current work is on inclusion and accessibility. Within the MoselPop event network and a European Erasmus+ project, he works with partners to explore which barriers prevent people from participating in cultural life and what practical changes can be made in everyday event production. The aim is not to find perfect solutions, but to take concrete steps, exchange experiences and remain open to learning from different perspectives.

As artistic director of Kulturkarawane, Jochen Leuf connects these questions with participatory cultural work, music and the activation of public spaces. He is also a board member of LAG Soziokultur Rheinland-Pfalz, where he contributes to the further development of sociocultural work.
