Kübra Gümüşay und Emilia Roig | Widerstand & Leben

Talk
This date is in the past.

Emilia Roig is an advocate for radical change. Driven by a passionate desire for liberation and justice, she uses her work as a thinker to call for an end to racist oppression and patriarchal marriage. Her essay “Loving” is also a plea for more justice, since love should be for everyone. She will be reading her most personal text to date at the Reeperbahn Festival – and talking about it with Kübra Gümüşay, an author in her own right.

The reading and discussion form part of the new "Widerstand & Leben" (“Resistance & Life”) series in collaboration with the feminist co-creation space eeden from Hamburg, of which Gümüşay is a co-founder. eeden encompasses a highly effective interdisciplinary network that brings together different people from the fields of art, design, culture, music, science, politics, media and business. In this event series, eeden sets out to find answers to the question: How can we actually live, rather than just survive? “Widerstand & Leben” explores ways of learning and growing through solidarity in these challenging times. And Emilia Roig is sure to have some answers.
