Reclaiming visibility from AI and political filters
Deepfakes, politically influenced algorithms, DEI mandates, automated fact-checking, and keyword filters on platforms like META or Tik Tok are making it increasingly difficult for artists to engage in authentic storytelling. Post reach is restricted, content disappears overnight, and a flood of generative AI takes centre stage. In a world where the rules are constantly changing due to external forces, how can artists, labels and creative professionals maintain their visibility, credibility and control?
This session kicks off with a sharp keynote by Max Holtz, Social Media Manager for Die Linke / MP Caren Lay, offering insights into politically controlled media and how Die Linke successfully navigated platform algorithms to gain traction over the past elections.
Following that, the stage will transform to a dynamic conversation with Karma Bertelsen, Marketing Strategy Director (EMEA) at FUGA, who will share insights into successful marketing strategies; Money Badoo, a boundary-breaking hip-hop artist from South Africa known for her genre-defying creations and fan-first approach; and Svenja Freisfeld, Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at SoundCloud, who adcovates for independent DSP models that allow artists to own their reach, data and voice. Max Holtz will join the panel to provide a political perspective.
Expect honest insights, practical tactics, and a roadmap for protecting creative freedom in a controlled digital landscape!
